NJELSA Annual Symposium

Suitcasing & Exhibitor Badge Policy

NJELSA is committed to providing a successful and productive Annual Symposium for all exhibitors. To protect their investment and maintain a fair business environment, NJELSA strictly prohibits suitcasing and the misuse of exhibitor badges.

What Is Suitcasing?

Suitcasing occurs when individuals or companies that have not purchased exhibit space attempt to solicit business, promote products or services, or conduct sales activities during the Symposium.  This includes unauthorized solicitation in exhibit hall aisles, another company's booth, meeting areas, hospitality suites, hotel rooms, restaurants, or other locations associated with the event.

Exhibitor Badge Policy

Each exhibiting company receives three exhibitor badges with the purchase of a booth. These badges are intended exclusively for representatives of the exhibiting company and may not be transferred or provided to customers, guests, or other individuals who would otherwise be required to register as attendees.

Zero-Tolerance Policy & Penalties

NJELSA maintains a zero-tolerance policy for suitcasing and exhibitor badge misuse.

•  Individuals found engaging in unauthorized solicitation may be immediately removed from the event.

•  Exhibiting companies found in violation of either policy may be prohibited from exhibiting at future NJELSA events.

•  All hospitality suites and related promotional activities must receive prior approval from NJELSA.

Reporting Violations

Exhibitors are encouraged to report suspected violations to NJELSA Management at the registration desk. All reports will be investigated.
